Why James Street North
Hamilton’s arts–training corridor already hosts people who make things and sell services. Our studio sits in that rhythm: low-rise creative space, Suite 200, close enough to downtown that evening cohorts can arrive after a workday. How the studio works week to week
Most weeks follow a simple rhythm: a live teaching block on AI tools and AI workflows, a lab where learners produce a draft tied to client services, and a critique that asks whether the output could be priced. Facilitators watch for two failure modes — endless prompt tinkering with no deliverable, and glossy packages that hide missing revision boundaries. Both erode income potential even when ChatGPT, Copilot or Claude look impressive in a demo.
We keep generative AI for work grounded in professional judgment. If a model invents a citation, invents a client quote, or smooths over a risk, the learner must catch it before anything ships. That habit is as important as prompt engineering. AI automation can speed intake and research; it cannot replace the decision to say no to unpaid scope.
